What you will be responsible for:

• Collaborate with engineers to provide robust mechanical design and technical support of NSI products and components throughout product lifecycle.

• Analyze and have input to complex machine designs incorporating motion control systems, robotics, and part handling in accordance with product requirements.

• Design assemblies and components using Solid Works.

• Prepare detailed drawings and bills of materials for the fabrication and assembly of equipment.

• Provide analysis of drive systems, structural assemblies and sub-components using basic calculation methods and Finite Element Analysis (FEA).

• Interface with manufacturing to support product assembly, testing, troubleshooting and installation.

• Interface with project/product management to ensure projects meet schedule and delivery requirements.

• Develop working knowledge of X-ray and NDT techniques through NSI technical experts and practical application.

• Lead and participate in design reviews for minor designs with cross functional teams and customers.

• Collaborate with a cross functional team of software, controls, and NDT engineers to develop innovative solutions

This full-time, paid internship is located on-site in Rogers, Minnesota. You'll be part of a collaborative team, working with a manager and mentor to complete a project from start to finish during the summer. Plus, with flexible start and end dates, you can tailor the experience to your schedule. Throughout the program, you'll have opportunities to attend networking events, both within NSI and across ITW’s divisions in Minnesota. You’ll also enjoy personal and professional development sessions, plus fun activities, and happy hours. At the end of the summer, you'll present your project to NSI business leaders, showcasing your contributions and impact. Compensation Information:

$20.00 - $28.00 commensurate with experience & qualifications.
