Your role and responsibilities

As a Client HR Partner, you will be a trusted business advisor/partner, responsible for working closely with business unit executives, line management, and other functional areas to pro-actively address critical business needs and/or resolve issues related to workforce development and productivity. Role expectation:

Client Engagement

  • Drive IBM's Talent strategy across one or multiple business units and create talent plans/solutions in partnership with clients to deliver on key business and talent outcomes
  • Engage with clients using the defined dashboards and promotes adoption of tooling and program design according to the standardized HR Offering ensuring minimal HRP dependency.
  • Coach leaders on leadership behaviours, improving employee engagement and creating an inclusive culture. Create leadership interventions as needed
  • Support Market/Country talent strategy by driving employee relations locally
  • Deliver HR offerings/solutions in partnership with the Team HR Partners

Site/Location Responsibilities (if applicable)

  • Act as company representative on site, towards managers, employees, and employee representatives
  • Monitor employee engagement, handle employee relations issues, and advise on site activities to drive return-to-office initiatives
  • Partner with site stakeholders to ensure employee safety and well-being, including active participation on the Crisis Management Team

Transformation & Automation:

  • Look for ways to enhance the client experience, identifying/surfacing opportunities for elimination, simplification and automation
  • Partner with HR offerings in the design and delivery of HR offerings to improve through continuous feedback loop

Ways of Working:

  • Integrate & Collaborate across HR - with Team HRP / BU HRP /Market & Country HRP and HR Offering teams.
  • Use analytics to build deeper understanding of the dynamics and drive actionable insights
  • Ability to actively integrate the HR offerings so we show up as one team in delivering value to the business
  • Knowledgeable in labour/legal matters for the Market/Country where they operate and applied s as appropriate
  • Complete the HR learning roadmap and required badges to continuously upskill. Embrace HR cognitive solutions and new ways of working.

Preferred education

Bachelor's Degree

Required technical and professional expertise

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience including: a solid understanding of HR disciplines such as compensation; talent management; employee relations, etc.

  • Utilizing strong project and program management skills and an ability to manage multiple priorities at once.

  • Producing, analysing and interpreting HR metrics and reporting for the business unit.

  • Consultative skills to work closely with business leaders.

Prior experience as Human Resources generalist or HR specialist role.

Preferred technical and professional experience

  • Prefer a minimum of 8 years' experience in collaborating across HR teams, business unit teams, and other functional areas.

  • Candidate should have solid analytic and reporting skills, with demonstrated expertise with Microsoft Office Suite.

  • HR Professional certification is a plus.
