Your role and responsibilities

Software development is critical to the success of IBM and our clients worldwide. At IBM, you will use the latest software development tools, techniques and approaches and work with leading minds in the industry to build solutions you can be proud of.

This opportunity is for a new product suite, WATSONX, that IBM brought to the market in 2024. We are looking for seasoned professionals who are passionate about Data, AI and ML.

Your primary responsibilities include:

• Test, automate, and deliver software supporting and enhancing one of IBM's most successful enterprise-level cloud solutions.
• The ideal candidate will have a passion for testing new features, writing and running automation, creating testplans, and exercising software development and Agile methodologies in a continuous delivery environment.
• The successful candidate will have a passion for building high-quality, innovative and fully fledged testplans and automation to ensure that released software is the utmost of quality.
• The candidate will participate in requirements gathering, sprint planning, design and technical review to support overall achievement of business objectives
• The candidate will also participate in project management and escalations management activities to help development teams triage and sort out escalations.

Bachelor's Degree

Required technical and professional expertise

• Prior software testing experience
• Prior software testplan creation experience
• Prior automation experience for cloud software
• Experience managing small projects
• Familiarity with microservices, Docker, Kubernetes or other cloud technologies
• Familiarity with REST API concepts
• Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment automation tools (CI/CD)
• Experience writing end-to-end tests using frameworks like Intern, Selenium

Preferred technical and professional experience

• Cloud-first product testing experience

• Cross-browser quirks and compatibility testing

• Familiarity with multidimensional databases and OLAP concepts

• Experience using build, deployment and development tools like Git, Travis, Jenkins, Yarn/NPM, Webpack/Gulp
