Content Platforms & Operations:
Content Platforms & Operations is responsible for the development and ongoing advancement of the technical and operational functions driving the worldwide distribution and monetization of Disney’s linear networks and theatrical content. This includes Disney’s media supply chain and storage, network and theatrical distribution operations, media localization, network transmission and origination, and more. The global team also plays a critical role as the primary collaboration point for Product & Technology with Disney’s EMEA, APAC, and LATAM regional business teams.
Job Summary:
Support the ABC Traffic & Log Operations Department in the New York office. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting with prepping the daily network logs for broadcast to East, Central, Mountain and Pacific affiliates.
Responsibilities and Duties of the Role:
- Assist with prepping the ABC Network daily network logs for broadcast
- Use of the broadcast traffic system to enter all standard broadcast elements into all programs that air on the ABC Network.
- Confirm elements against issued documentation accuracy, and update the system as the needs of the business require
- Attend operational meetings and collaborate with the rest of the Program Operations department.
- Assist with special projects as needed
Required Education, Experience/Skills/Training:
Basic Qualifications:
- A minimum of one year related experience in Television Traffic.
- Must be computer literate.
- Must have clerical and data input experience.
- Must be organized, detail oriented and self-motivated.
- Must have strong interpersonal skills and capable of working effectively within a team environment and across multiple business platforms.
- Must be capable of learning new system procedures/functions as they pertain to the needs of our business.
- Must be capable of explaining oneself both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to make decisions quickly and effectively under pressure.
- Must have a willingness to adapt in an industry environment where change is inevitable.
- nontraditional working hours required i.e. nights, weekends, holidays.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of Broadcast Traffic systems, Microsoft Word and Excel
Preferred Education:
- Bachelors degree in Media Communications, Television/Radio Broadcasting or equivalent experience
The hiring range for this part-time position in New York is $37,200 to $45,500 per year based on a 29 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
