Are you interested in joining our Landscape Architecture team? We are responsible for landscape design including hardscape, grading, planting, irrigation and water features; research, studies, illustrations, imagery boards and colored renderings; and the integration of architecture, structural elements, lighting, graphics and utilities for the area development of an individual facility/attraction, land, or theme park project!

The Landscape Designer will report to the Landscape Architecture Studio Executive.

This is a Project Hire position with no guarantee of permanent placement.

You Will

  • Provide support to project lead/landscape architect for design and implementation aspects of assigned projects

  • Support implementation of project goals/objectives through assigned problem-solving and design tasks; ensures alignment to department/divisional Standards of Practice

  • Provide design documentation in the form of graphic illustration, imagery boards, color renderings, and research and documentation on assigned project

  • Prepare specific deliverables including, but not limited to: base sheets, hardscape, planting designs, visual intrusion studies, material schedules, etc. Ensures alignment to department/divisional Standards of Practice

  • Develop varied landscape architectural project work at all stages of assigned projects from concept, feasibility or schematic design through the preparation of construction documentation in accordance with established departmental and divisional quality standards

  • Ensure that the area development intent is achieved by successfully integrating landscape design with allied teams and components of the area development such as: infrastructure, architecture, grading/drainage, lighting, graphics, structural engineering, irrigation, etc.

You Will Have

  • Two or more years in landscape architecture

  • Working knowledge and experience in the use of plant and hardscape materials and products for thematic applications

  • Demonstrated thoughtful design, artistic skills and professional judgment in solving complex area development problems

  • Knowledge of landscape architecture design and construction techniques

  • Knowledge of related areas including architecture, land planning, civil engineering, etc.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in digital illustration and documentation tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and In Design

  • Working knowledge/skills in CAD and 3D software tools: AutoCAD, Civil3D, Rhino

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Land F/X

Required Education

  • A Bachelor of Liberal Arts/Bachelor of Science of Landscape Architecture degree from an accredited program

  • An advanced degree in landscape architecture, horticulture or land planning is desirable

Preferred Education

  • An advanced degree in landscape architecture, horticulture or land planning is desirable

  • Preferably working actively toward U.S. professional licensure

The hiring range for this position in Glendale, CA is $95,500.00-$128,000.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
