This position is responsible for providing expertise and strategic direction for end-to-end marketing of Franchise, Brand and Content for Studios in the Southeast Asia region.
Franchise
This role is to uphold stewardship of the image, reputation, identity and integrity for all brands that fall under The Walt Disney Company businesses. The role is critical in managing Disney/Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars and National Geographic evergreen franchises to maximise consumer engagement across the company. He/She will ensure that our brand policies are applied consistently around the world and will lead in protecting our corporate identity across the enterprise including Studio and DTC - Disney Entertainment (DE) and Disney Parks, Experiences and Products (DPEP) segments.
Brand and Content Marketing for Studios:
He/She will provide guidance and recommendation for end-to-end marketing of Walt Disney Company global studio titles (Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Lucasfilms, 20th Century, Searchlight). The role is responsible for the overall strategies for developing, managing and optimizing marketing campaigns of studio titles to achieve the overall business objectives. He/She will work closely with local, regional and global internal stakeholders, media agencies and local exhibitors to maximize awareness, audience engagement and box office performance.
The role will be reporting to the Senior Manager/Lead for Franchise, Brand and Content for Studio Marketing. This sits under Integrated Marketing Team which supports primarily the DE business within The Walt Disney Company to drive marketing and promotions though a “One Disney” integrated approach.
Areas of Responsibilities:
- Be the overall steward of all brands under Disney serving as the main gatekeeper of brand guidelines for corporate branding, marketing, and promotional partnerships
- Oversee and manage the end-to-end marketing campaigns for theatrical movie releases of global studio titles (Disney, Pixar, Lucasfilm, 20th Century Studios, Searchlight Pictures), and franchise marketing campaigns involving both Studios and Disney+
- Provide guidance and recommendation to develop marketing strategies and detailed plans including budgets, for the above and follow through in the execution in all marketing aspects, including creative, localization, socials, media buy, publicity, tie-in promotions, synergy and events
- Supervise and liaise with agencies and vendors on media buy, creative, production, PR, events, digital marketing to execute the marketing plans with the support of other members of the team
- Liaise with regional (SEA and/or APAC) and/or Burbank on marketing, PR, and tie-in promotion issues
- Work closely with Brand & Franchise SEA lead to map out brand and franchise priorities. Manage integrated marketing campaigns that support marketing strategy initiatives for Studio and DTC businesses
- Manage and supervise synergy promotions with different business units including Studio, DTC, Parks & Resorts, Consumer Products, publishing, digital platforms and corporate communications
- Manage other ad hoc projects including, but not limited to, local, regional and/or global studio promotional partnerships. Manage and supervise tie-in promotions (including pitching, negotiation and project management)
Requirements:
- Minimum 8 years of experience in brand marketing, preferably in a related industry
- Strong experience in developing and managing brand marketing campaigns with execution experience across the marketing mix
- Strong relationship building skills, flexible and adaptable, able to collaborate, influence and persuade at all levels of an organization, both internal and external
- Demonstrates drive for superior results and ability to manage multiple project simultaneously in a dynamic, fast pace environment
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
