Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated senior QA engineer with strong quality assurance experience to join our APAC technology team. The role primarily focuses on overseeing and optimizing QA processes to ensure the timely and high-quality delivery of digital products. This role will collaborate closely with developers, and external vendors to deliver high-quality solutions that meet user expectations and Disney’s standards.

About The Team

Our team is a part of the DEE Technology APAC division, with members spanning across China, Japan, and Singapore, our team brings a diverse range of expertise to the table. We work collaboratively to maintain and enhance platforms and applications across the APAC region.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases based on product requirements and technical specifications.
• Should be able to effectively and closely work with vendor throughout product lifecycle to ensure the quality.
• Review requirements and user stories to create detailed test plans, cases, and scripts
• Oversee automation of repetitive test cases to increase efficiency and reduce release cycles
• Facilitate release decisions, internal coordination, and respond promptly to project-related inquiries.
• Identify issues throughout the QA and development process and recommend actionable improvements.
• Lead the implementation of process changes and provide training to stakeholders to optimize quality assurance.
• Work with external vendors to have technical grooming sessions to design architect and technical solutions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, to ensure seamless integration of features and timely project delivery
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, and efficient applications, adhering to coding standards and best practices

Skills & Attributes For Success

• Native-level proficiency in Japanese
• Good communication skills in verbal and written English
• Solid understanding of both frontend and backend technologies, with the ability to contribute to testing and development tasks when needed.
• Knowledge of various frameworks, and strong knowledge of React/Angular will be an advantage
• Knowledge of performance and security testing.
• Proven experience in AWS CI/CD pipelines is considered an advantage
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
• Exposure and experience in working in Agile/Scrum methodology
• Exposure and experience in using AWS services and handling Linux Operating System and Linux commands
• Experience with Python programming and multi-model AI training knowledge is a plus
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Education & Experience

• 5+ years in quality assurance or quality control management within medium to large-scale development projects
• Strong experience in web application development and managing QA operations across diverse teams
• Experience with automated testing frameworks
• Bachelor’s degree and above in computer science, software engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
