We are looking for a Solution Engineering Manager to lead our team of Solution Engineers in France.

The Solution Engineering team works closely with Sales Reps (Account Executives) and their prospects to define and demonstrate the value of the Hub Spot platform. They are responsible for providing technical expertise to our customers across all segments during the sales cycle, and as product experts, the team houses a deep understanding of the Hub Spot software and platform ecosystem. They are trained in handling tough objections and leading successful evaluation cycles to gain product fit consensus. Additionally, the team works closely with our product teams to provide product feedback from customers both upmarket and downmarket, elicit solution direction input from them, and identify buyer trends.

As a manager, you’ll be performance-driven and curious with exceptional communication skills and a data-driven mindset. The ideal candidate should have experience in managing high-performing teams in the French market and building strategic cross-functional collaborations to showcase business impact, as well as a proven track record of consistent delivery against KPIs and objectives. You will lead a diverse team of talented Solutions Engineers servicing our French market and based across our locations in Europe both in-office, hybrid & remote, looking for mentorship and to help grow their careers.

In addition to this, you will act as a sponsor on complex deals, working with the deal team to remove barriers and provide clarity for prospects seeking the adoption of Hub Spot. You will be an integral part of the Hub Spot leadership team based in France, as well as a proactive contributor and team member of the global Pre Sales team across our three regions EMEA, AMER and JAPAC.

As the global Pre Sales team continues to evolve, you will be expected to work cross functionally in collaboration with your global Pre Sales leadership colleagues as a leader and contributor in strategic projects and initiatives to drive results, change and innovation.

This is an exciting role that requires a strategic mindset as well as strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

In this role, you will:

  • Support ongoing growth and development, including recruiting, hiring, training, and coaching

  • Partner with sales leadership and other cross-functional teams to drive revenue growth and customer retention

  • Coach the team toward attaining key performance metrics and goals

  • Deliver against your objectives and key results

  • Integrate the Pre Sales teams in SaaS GTM strategy and best practices

  • Maximize your impact by understanding the motivations of your team, and adapting your communication accordingly (you have genuine empathy for others and a high emotional intelligence)

  • Drive and contribute to regional and global projects to improve operational excellence and drive innovation

We’re looking for people who have:

  • Solid experience managing Pre Sales teams with a proven track record of success

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders

  • Experience working with diverse teams across various geographical locations

  • Ability to build and maintain a strong team culture in a hybrid working environment

  • Experience in working with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and business development

  • Strong management skills and a people-first mindset, with the ability to motivate and mentor team members

  • Sharp business acumen

  • Strong analytical and technical skills to identify trends and patterns

  • Experience in working in a fast-paced environment, preferably in SaaS sales

  • Experience with pre-sales activities including proposal development, client presentations, and product demonstrations

  • Reporting skills via Excel/GSheets, BI tools such as Looker, SQL, etc. a plus

  • Experience upmarket, in scoping and deployment and experience in working with partners are a plus
