Role Summary

The Cash Application Manager to lead the global cash application operations team responsible for accurate and timely application of customer payments across regions. This role requires strong accounting knowledge, deep understanding of AR processes, and demonstrated ability to drive process improvement along with operational excellence. The manager has to partner closely with cross‑functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

1. Operational Leadership

  • Lead day‑to‑day cash application activities including application of customer payments, remittance handling, unapplied/unknown cash clearing, and accounting adjustments.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all cash postings to maintain clean AR ledgers.
  • Monitor bank statement uploads, BOT job runs, customer mapping, remittance exceptions, and interface fall‑outs.
  • Oversee global teams (APJ/EMEA/AMS) supporting high‑volume remittance processing.

2.

Process Improvement & Automation:

  • Identify inefficiencies and drive process improvements.
  • Collaborate with IT and design teams to improve system configurations and eliminate manual touchpoints wherever required.

3.

Reporting & Analytics:

  • Ensure timely delivery of daily/weekly KPIs including unapplied/unknown cash, bank clearing accounts, turnaround time, and accuracy metrics.
  • Support month‑end close activities including accruals, factoring entries, and other validations.

Required Qualifications

  • CA/CMA with post qualification experience of 8 plus years
  • Experience in Accounts Receivable / Cash Application will be preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and AR processes
  • Experience in SAP S/4HANA

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong analytical mindset with ability to identify root causes and implement solutions.
  • Proven track record of process improvement and automation.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to work with large data sets and interpret complex payment/remittance structures.
  • Team leadership, coaching and talent development capabilities.
