About The Role
As a Hardware Systems Test Engineer, you’ll take a hands-on role working with Evaluation Kits and new hardware platforms to support the development of next-generation systems. In this position, you’ll design and implement new test procedures, execute detailed test plans, and develop automated control scripts in Python to drive efficiency and accuracy in testing. You’ll also evaluate results, analyze performance data, and present your findings and insights to cross-functional partners, helping shape and refine the hardware systems that power innovative products.
2026 Internship Program Dates: May/June-August/September 2026. Final dates based on student schedule.
What You Might Do
- Learn to use and program state of the art lab equipment, and establish procedures for taking repeatable and reliable measurements.
- Automate tests where applicable using python and other libraries
- Use visualization libraries to gaininsights on test results, share data and generate reports for engineering and leadership audiences.
Essential Qualifications
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or similar field.
- Experience with analog electronics, digital electronics, and/or embedded systems
- Experience working with lab equipment for hands-on prototyping, design, debug, and/or power analysis
- Experience in at least one of the following domains: audio, digital busses, sensors.
- Ability to use python to process and visualize time-series data
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong written / visual communication ability to represent complex information
- Experience with test equipment & best practices
- Experience developing automated test scripts and tools (Python, Labview, etc)
- A desire to work in a collaborative environment where honesty and accountability are paramount
- Ability to drive tasks independently and escalate and communicate issues and needs clearly
Salary Range: $45-$48/per hour
