Job Title: Masters Field Service Engineer Intern
Location: Residing in Finland (field-based role)
Role Type: Internship, remote (full-time if graduated, or part-time to fit around your remaining studies)
Job Summary:
As a Masters Field Service Engineer Intern at Honeywell, in Finland, you will be responsible for visiting our customers to support with Control and Supervisory Systems.
This is a remote from office role, working predominantly from customer sites in and around Finland, and from home or office. Our client base covers many exciting industries, meaning you will have exposure to Oil & Gas, Pulp & Paper, Food & Beverage, Metals & Mining and Pharma.
This role is part of our University Relations program, designed to help students and recent graduates launch their careers with hands-on experience, mentorship, and opportunities for growth within Honeywell. This internship is set up for up to 12 months and starting between early 2026 to summer 2026, depending on your study timetable, and if you are a studier or graduate. There is potential for a permanent role after a successful internship.

Key responsibilities:
Honeywell have had a presence in Finland for 75 years, we have strong future; would you like to be a part of it? You will gain a view of the full system, have a buddy assigned to you, and work closely with experienced professionals to gain hands-on experience:
- Working with Distributed Control System, (DCS) configuration & implementation
- Either DCS system application design, testing and commissioning
- Support the Service and project Teams and grow the Finland installed base
- Coordinate with and communicate together with Senior Engineers and customers
- Work to strict alignment to Honeywell and client health and safety program requirements
- Travel to customer sites in and around Finland, including stays away from home when required, (throughout the year, expect 40% working from home, and 60% travel to customer sites)
Key skills and qualifications:
- Studying towards or recently graduated, (2025/6) from a Masters level degree in Information or Engineering Technology, Automation Engineering, or Computer Science
- You can communicate technical issues in both Finnish and English with ease
- Unless you have studied Automation Engineering, you will have some experience in DCS applications, (this can be from you studies, hobbies, or work experience)
- You truly enjoy spending time in front of your laptop and have great computer skills - you might know how to program, have an idea of virtualization, networks, Cyber or IIOT, for example
- You are able to accurately document designs and work performed - for instance, you have done this in some university/technical school projects
- You have a full Finnish driving licence and access to a car
