Advanced Software Engr:

• Engineering NGA

The Next Generation Avionics (NGA) Engineering organization is looking for a Senior Engineer to join our product development group located in Bangalore, India.

• In this role, primary responsibility will be to develop advanced features and functionality for Honeywell’s latest cockpit offering
• ANTHEM. The engineer must have good knowledge of engineering fundamentals to complete defined project subtasks.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Master’s degree in Avionics, Electrical, Electronic or Computer Engineering

• 10 years of combined system/software/hardware product engineering development experience as a technical solution provider and functional discipline leader.

Additional Qualifications:

• Experience with functional decomposition desired.

• Experience in the development of any or multiple Aircraft functions like Flight Management, Display, Platforms Software is advantage

• Experience working with customers on Systems/Software requirements required

• ARP4754 process knowledge strongly preferred.

• 5+ years of avionics platform system engineering experience highly desirable.

• Experience on large, complicated programs preferred.

• Academic background in Software Engineering preferred.

• Excellent Communication skills.

• Six Sigma Greenbelt certification desired

• Avionics background, Knowledge, and experience on ARP4754A, Aero Process is required

• Positive, can-do attitude.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Ability to work effectively as part of team both locally and globally.

Job Expectations:

• Good knowledge about C Plus plus programming and SDLC.

• Detailed understanding and working experience on Avionics System\software and Certification.

• Experience in the Model Based Development, A661 systems, SCADE modelling.

• Analysis of customer and operational requirements to define systems architecture, capture requirements, perform integration/systems/functional testing, and conduct design reviews.

• Ability to develop, validate and verify software level requirements for flight deck avionic programs.

• Trouble shoot current systems interfaces and performance problems

• Able to work with a diverse group of team members who could be geographically distributed.

• Interfaces with stakeholders outside of their CoE, including Equipment Engineering Teams, Customer Engineering Leads (CEL), SPE, LSE, ASL, other engineering.

• Good Understanding of Avionics architecture (Software and Systems).

• Experience with Agile development processes.

• Knowledge of AGILE tools. IBM Rational DOORS NG Requirements Management tool, Atlassian JIRA Change management tool.

• Anticipate problems, recognize, and eliminate barriers.

• Keep management apprised of program status and roadblocks.
