As a Health and Safety Engineer II here at Honeywell, you will be instrumental in fostering a culture of safety and health responsibility within the organization. You will report directly to our Senior HSE Manager, and you’ll work out of our Torrance, CA location.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • 3 or more years of directly related experience in occupational health and safety/injury and illness prevention.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

WE VALUE

  • Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Safety Engineering or related discipline
  • Certifications in safety engineering and/or industrial hygiene (CIH, CSP)
  • Experience in aerospace or manufacturing industry.

BENEFITS OF WORKING FOR HONEYWELL

The annual base salary range for this position is $77,900 - $117,000 Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Implements and maintains company Health & Safety programs while ensuring compliance with local, state and federal health and safety regulations.
  • Proactively involved in the recognition, evaluation and control of Health & Safety hazards.
  • Improves facilities, work areas and work procedures and makes Health & Safety recommendations accordingly.
  • Proactively works with leadership and front-line employees to create a safe work environment and resolve Health & Safety concerns.
  • Responsible for preparing, maintaining, and updating Health & Safety policy and procedure manuals.
  • Ensures compliance with all health and safety regulations, and keeps abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization.
  • Serves as contact with federal, state, and local regulatory agencies.
  • Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
  • Relies on best practices and pre-established guidelines to meet the requirements of the job.
  • Works under immediate supervision of the Torrance HSE&F Manager.
