As a Sr Advanced Software Engineer here at Honeywell, you will have the opportunity to develop cutting-edge software solutions that enhance the performance and capabilities of our aerospace products. You will report directly to our Director IT and you’ll work on a hybrid work schedule out of our Phoenix, Arizona site. Note: For the first 90 days, New Hires must be prepared to work 100% onsite M-F.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, develop, and maintain advanced software applications for new and legacy aircraft products.

• Maintain/develop/support industry standard tools such as IBM DOORS and DOORS NG, IBM ELM, Siemens Teamcenter, NX, JIRA and Atlassian tools.

• Support application and/or product lifecycle management tooling.

• Bridge gaps between Engineering, IT and vendors.

• Support export control and legacy system environment configurations.

• Support common tool initiatives and migrations.

• Support application upgrades.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define software requirements and specifications.

• Perform testing and debugging of tools to ensure software quality and performance.

• Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation.

• Travel: up to 5%

YOU MUST HAVE

• Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in software engineering, particularly in aerospace or related fields.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
• Expertise in supporting software development methodologies and tools.
• Experience with software testing and debugging techniques.
• Familiarity with aerospace standards and regulations.
