Job Summary:

We are looking for a Senior Storage and Backup Engineer to manage and enhance our advanced storage and backup systems. In this role, you will lead the architecture, engineering, and support of Honeywell’s storage and backup environments as part of the Enterprise Compute Infrastructure team. Your responsibilities will include gathering requirements, helping design, recommending, and implementing on-premises and cloud storage solutions.

Expertise is required in technologies like Net App, Nasuni for cloud-based storage, VAST for block storage, and Rubrik for backup solutions. You’ll also identify opportunities to optimize existing systems to increase reliability and availability and regularly participate in Disaster Recovery exercises. Experience with tools such as Service Now and Splunk is necessary, as well as working with automation platforms like CHEF or Tanium.

YOU MUST HAVE

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or Business-related field.
• 8 years’ experience with SAN/NAS systems (Net App) in enterprise settings; cloud storage experience (Nasuni).
• 8 years’ background using and supporting enterprise backup tech (Rubrik), including large-scale troubleshooting and recovery within SLA.
• Expertise in cloud data protection/storage solutions on GCP, AWS, and Azure.
• Skilled with backup solutions (especially Rubrik) and cloud backup services.
• Experience in capacity planning and performance optimization.
• Track record in supporting critical infrastructure operations.
• Familiarity with ITSM tools (Service Now); skilled in monitoring/reporting via Splunk.
• Knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, VPN, NFS/SMB/CIFS/SCSI).
• Hardware installation, racking, and stacking experience for storage/backup devices.
• Runbook and documentation management/audit support.
• Automation experience with CHEF or Tanium.
• Advanced scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, Bash).

Key Responsibilities:
