As an Advanced Test Engineer here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our aerospace products through effective test engineering practices. You will lead and coordinate the testing activities for assigned projects, working closely with cross-functional teams to define test requirements and specifications.

You will report directly to our Engineering Manager, and you’ll work out of our Phoenix, AZ (Deer Valley) location onsite.

In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute test plans, ensuring that all necessary tests are conducted to validate product performance and reliability. You will provide technical expertise and guidance to the team in conducting tests and analyzing results, ensuring that all testing activities are carried out accurately and efficiently.

You will have a significant impact on the success of our engineering projects. You will be a part of a team of engineers and technicians, providing guidance, support and testing to ensure the successful completion of projects. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to ensure alignment and achieve project goals.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as engineering or computer science.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in test engineering or a similar role, specifically within the aerospace sector.
  • Understanding and application of DO-160 and/or MIL-STD-461 requirements.
  • Experience with EMI test equipment such as amplifiers, signal generators, oscilloscopes, function generators, programmable power supplies, etc.
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making abilities, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to speak, write and read English

  • Conduct EMI testing to ensure product compliance with relevant standards.
  • Creation of EMI test procedures and reports.
  • Project oversight and coordination with program PE to ensure overall program success.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to the team in solving EMI test related engineering problems.
  • Provide updates and reports to management and stakeholders on project status and outcomes.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance EMI test engineering processes and efficiency.
