Role Summary:

The Director – IT Strategy serves as a strategic and operational partner to the Senior Leader of Information Technology, enabling enterprise‑level execution, organizational alignment, and leadership effectiveness across the Honeywell Aerospace India IT organization.

Operating in a Chief of Staff–like capacity, this role functions behind the scenes as a trusted advisor, integrator, and execution leader, ensuring that India IT strategies, priorities, and actions are tightly aligned with Honeywell Aerospace Global IT initiatives and operating models. The Director bridges global intent with local execution, drives organizational change, and ensures disciplined follow‑through on leadership priorities.

Experience & Capabilities

  • 18+ years of experience in IT, technology strategy, enterprise program management, or leadership enablement roles
  • Demonstrated experience working with senior executives (VP / global leadership level) in large, matrixed organizations
  • Strong understanding of global IT delivery models, governance, and transformation programs
  • Proven ability to influence without authority and drive alignment across geographically distributed teams
  • Exceptional communication, executive presence, and problem‑solving skills
  • High degree of discretion, trust, and execution ownership

Added Advantage:

  • Prosci or similar certification on Organizational Change Management
  • Strong understanding of the India IT market and talent ecosystem
  • Established executive‑level network across the technology industry
  • Awareness of global technology trends including cloud platforms, AI advancements, and digital transformation

Key Responsibilities

Strategy Execution & Global Alignment

  • Lead Honeywell Aerospace Global IT strategy into executable, India‑specific plans with measurable outcomes
  • Act as a key interface between Global IT leadership and India IT teams, ensuring alignment on priorities, timelines, and delivery commitments
  • Enable consistency with global operating models, governance frameworks, and enterprise standards

Leadership Enablement & Operational Excellence

  • Streamline workflows, operating rhythms, and decision‑making processes across the IT organization
  • Drive execution discipline through structured governance, cadence reviews, and performance tracking
  • Own action management from leadership and executive forums, ensuring timely follow‑through, escalation, and closure

Organizational Change Management

  • Drive organization‑wide change initiatives sponsored by IT leadership, including operating model shifts, transformation programs, and new ways of working
  • Partner with leaders to assess change impact, manage dependencies, and ensure adoption across teams
  • Reinforce change through structured execution, communication, and leadership alignment

Communication & Leadership Messaging

  • Lead development of clear, consistent, and executive‑ready communications for IT leadership audiences
  • Translate global and executive‑level direction into context‑rich messaging for India IT teams
  • Act as a bridge between leadership and employees, enabling effective two‑way communication and feedback loops

Cross‑Functional Coordination & Special Initiatives

  • Coordinate cross‑functional initiatives across IT, Engineering, Digital, Security, and Business stakeholders
  • Lead and oversee high‑priority, VP‑sponsored special projects with enterprise visibility
  • Represent the VP of IT in select leadership forums, working sessions, and governance meetings
