The Product Controller (Controllership Manager) will play a pivotal role in managing the financial activities related to product business financial reporting and compliance. This includes ensuring accurate accounting, financial analysis, and the application of strategic insight to drive decision-making across the business. The individual will be responsible for maintaining financial integrity and compliance, optimizing financial performance, and acting as a strategic partner to both internal and external stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • CPA or equivalent certification required
  • Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong background in technical accounting and financial analysis.
  • In-depth understanding of ASC 606 and practical experience with revenue recognition.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster strategic partnerships and collaboration.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools, with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.

The annual base salary range for this position is $118,000-147,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with technical accounting standards, with a strong emphasis on ASC 606 for revenue recognition.
  • Analyze complex transactions and provide insights to optimize financial outcomes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial strategies with business objectives.
  • Serve as a financial advisor to business units, driving strategic initiatives and long-term growth.
  • Review contracts to ensure correct revenue recognition per ASC 606 requirements.
  • Guide contract negotiations by identifying potential accounting issues and advising on mitigation strategies.
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits and ensure adherence to internal controls.
  • Prepare and review audit documentation to support financial statements and disclosures.
  • Lead the monthly closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Conduct detailed balance sheet reviews and reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy.
