We are currently seeking a highly skilled Journeyperson Electrician/Commercial Meter Installer to join our team in Ontario. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation of commercial electric meters across the province, often working in challenging outdoor conditions ranging from extreme heat to cold weather. Your duties will include troubleshooting defective or problematic meters, utilizing state-of-the-art data collection tools via handheld tablet computers, and ensuring prompt, accurate, and professional interaction with local utility customers.

Adherence to safety policies and procedures is paramount, including the diligent execution of hazard and risk assessments for all tasks as outlined by company protocols.

Honeywell provides comprehensive training, certifications, and the necessary equipment to enable successful task completion. Travel throughout Ontario will be required.

YOU MUST HAVE:

• High School Diploma, or equivalent. Some experience in the field.
• Certificate of qualification as an electrician journeyperson or Mearie Meter Technician Certified
• Valid G drivers license

WE VALUE

• Demonstrated ability to install both commercial and residential electric meters
• Experience with MEARIE or equivalent standards
• Completion of a Meter Technician training program, encompassing a minimum of 8000 hours of electrical metering work
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Capacity to thrive in diverse outdoor environments
• Excellent technical, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently
• Previous customer-facing experience is highly desirable
• Familiarity with basic computer skills

Hourly rate for this position is $53.96/hour as per the CLA Union IBEW, Local 353 located in Toronto, Ontario.
