Honeywell Space CoE CZ opens a Lead Engineer position for Space Systems. The Space CoE in Honeywell CZ is responsible for development of space products from idea inception, technology maturation to product development.

Key skills and qualifications

  • M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Electronics, Control or Aerospace Engineering.
  • Understanding of complex systems including electronics, mechanisms and SW and FW.
  • Proven strong design capabilities in domain of electronic systems.
  • Experience with analytical modeling and simulation of electronics systems for performance assessment.
  • Understanding of general electronics design practices including radiation effects.
  • Good command of English.
  • Proven experience of technical team leadership.
  • Good orientation in Honeywell, ESA ECSS / NASA standards and guidelines.
  • Experience with aerospace electronic systems or systems for space or vacuum applications.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership for the development and test of space systems including electronics, mechanisms and sensors for space applications.
  • Oversee technical development and test activities across multiple domains such as electronics, mechanical, control, SW and FW.
  • Define, execute, and evaluate architectural and feasibility trade studies.
  • Develop and manage equipment-level system requirement specifications.
  • Be the primary point of contact for internal and external customers/stakeholders.
  • Provide mentoring and guidance for junior team members
  • Support business team with technical inputs (cost estimations, presentations, etc.) and support proposal activities.
