THE POSITION
We’re hiring a Strategic Indirect Sourcing Manager for our Honeywell Aerospace business located in Shanghai, CN.
The successful candidate (you) will establish and drive procurement of material and services in alignment with business Leadership for your assigned commodity / category and/or region as per Annual Operating Plan and Strategic Plan. You will have global/regional Responsibility for driving competitive commodity and category supply strategies to achieve lowest Total Cost, reduced Working capital via Negotiation planning and execution,High Growth Region Sourcing,Value Engineering and Sole/ Single Source elimination. You will manage Supplier Performance to support your commodity/category and/or region and ensure supply continuity. You will be managing several projects in a dynamic global environment. You will ensure compliance with company business policies and procedures, Export /Import regulations.
An expert at managing sometimes complex relationships in a heavily matrixed global corporate environment, you’ll be front and center for a variety of motivational initiatives around the world and will be a key driver in rewarding success in impactful and times even innovative ways. You’ll have a strong eye for details, impeccable timing and communication skills, and an innovative and strategic mindset.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, engineering, or related field (or 10 years of relevant category/services/contracts experience in lieu of a degree)
- 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, supply management, or category management
- 3+ years of people management experience, including coaching, performance management, and talent development
- Demonstrated experience leading RFx events (RFI/RFQ), commercial negotiations, and supplier award recommendations
- Working knowledge of contracting and commercial terms (e.g., payment terms, Incoterms, pricing, liability, and supply agreements)
- Experience managing supplier performance and driving improvement plans across quality, delivery, cost, and responsiveness
- Strong analytical skills (spend analysis, cost/price analysis, should-cost modeling, and business case development)
- Ability to influence and collaborate effectively in a cross-functional, matrixed, global environment
- Willingness to travel domestically/internationally as needed
WE VALUE
- Significant experience in procurement
- Working and/or Leading in Matrix and complex Team Environment
- Project Management and/or Contract Management Experience
- Professional Certifications in Project/Supply Chain/ Procurement/Contract Management
- Team Leader experience in Supply Management/Sourcing/Procurement/Business
- Demonstrated Business and financial acumen
- Experience with SAP, E Sourcing Platforms, Request for Quotation Tools, Project Management Tools
- Master’s Degree
- Experience managing multiple projects in a dynamic global environment

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Execute the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Strategic Sourcing Plan for assigned region
- Develop and lead commodity/category strategies using spend analysis, benchmarking, cost and market analysis, and technology/economic trends
- Drive total cost and working-capital improvements through negotiation planning/execution, value engineering, and sole/single-source elimination
- Lead supplier selection and sourcing events (RFI/RFQ), negotiations, contracting support, and supplier performance management
- Build and manage relationships with key supplier leadership; conduct supplier risk assessments and ensure supply continuity
- Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Technology, Operations, Finance, Quality, and other Honeywell businesses to support growth and new product introductions
- Lead and develop a direct team (hiring, performance management, coaching, and resource planning) while ensuring procurement governance, compliance, and audit readiness
