Assistant Manager finance analyst role in ISC Finance Job Description

Honeywell Building Automation India & AEA region are the key regions in Honeywell APAC portfolio. Both regions are increasing the importance with high growth market penetration.

This role support critical ISC Finance activities supporting various factories and DCs in the region both India and AEA, such as Sites – Hopetown, Gurgaon and various DCs. Also involved with Full Ownership of ISC Finance portfolio with but not limited to various monthly/ quarterly/ yearly activities such as standard costing, PPV analysis, Month end closing with Journal entries, Drive initiatives, support Local Leadership of Finance & Operations and collaborate with ISC Finance Director and Global teams.

Additionally, this role will encourage a continuous drive on productivity and cost control, while ensuring strong controllership and compliance. The role’s main responsibilities are providing financial guidance and influencing all activities at the sites to achieve its financial objectives. The role will actively partner with site leadership as well as the ISC Finance team.

Planning and estimating will also be a key support area involving the development and tracking of ideal and future state cost structures and expansion of the necessary tools and processes.

You Must Have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Experience in ISC Finance.
  • Strong accounting/finance experience with increasing responsibility
  • Leadership skills and ownership attitude to drive results
  • Interact and collaborate effectively with Regional CXO level, Business Leaders and Global partners.
  • Ability to manage multiple ask
  • Strong knowledge in SAP, FDS
  • English Proficiency, Proficiency in English language to clearly communicate and work with international stakeholders.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Full ownership of all ISC finance activities and collaboration with Regional GM, Regional CFO, ISC leadership, Site Leaders, Sourcing leader, global partners.
  • Ensure day to day collaboration and ensure alignment with regional GBE finance, regional CFO for both India and AEA on various topics.
  • Site finance ownership including all ISC finance activities.
  • Drive Site Productivity initiatives alongside with Site Leaders, Regional ISC Leader.
  • Collaborate and ensure compliance and correctness of VE/CE productivity working with Sourcing director and the team.
  • Manufacturing site finance support for ISC Finance activities and partnering with Business finance and regional manager.
  • Various ISC finance related reporting.
  • Costing: Year-end costing finalization with GBEs, Mid year costing updates for NPI or any other changes, HBS costing support etc.
  • Support various site activities - buy to sale costing, Capex monitoring & Accounting, prepare month end JEs, NPI costing, PPV analysis, Certifications spend validation etc.
  • Accounting: Freight Accrual calculation & entry booking, IOS planning and preparation of Quarterly accruals, PII process and entries.
  • Pulse & Forecasting: Prepare Weekly Pulse, Forecasting (5+7, 8+4), AOP planning for various ISC factories and DC.
  • AOP plan loading in HP for various entities.

Drive financial and operational performance in the site

  • Support the business to achieve overall operating income performance
  • Exercise a COO (chief operating officer) mindset in leading the site daily. Finance gatekeeper for all cost related to plant spent and base cost.
  • Development and tracking of ideal and future state cost structures
  • Partner with leadership on tax, legal and controllership compliance, controls and business processes. Partner with Plant Managers, Strategic Sourcing and SIOP Leaders

Provide key support and transparency to the site leadership team

  • Provide key reports and analysis to site leadership and other key stakeholders on current performance metrics, future forecasts and associated risks and opportunities
  • Provide leadership for investment decision making via financial validation and cost benefit analysis
  • Leadership for the STRAP, AOP, SRO and forecasting processes
  • Lead and support ad-hoc reporting and projects as required

Competencies required:

  • Must require: Flexibility in hours to accommodate business needs
  • Knowledge of ISC finance and ISC related items.
  • Proficiency in Hyperion, Excel, Tableau and SAP systems
  • Ability to present complex analysis with clarity.
  • Ability to understand accounting and financial processes related to the business.
  • Direct communication with clarity at all levels
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and assertive individual
  • The ability to quickly identify subtle patterns among issues
