As an **Advanced Manufacturing Engineer **here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for providing expert technical support and addressing manufacturing and producibility issues for manufacturing products.
Key Responsibilities:
-
Technical Support and Troubleshooting: Provide expert technical support in troubleshooting manufacturing products, facilitating knowledge sharing among teams, and implementing engineering changes effectively to enhance product reliability and performance.

Leadership in Root Cause Corrective Actions: Lead teams in conducting thorough Root Cause Corrective Actions (RCCA) to address manufacturing and producibility issues. Ensure that teams apply systematic approaches to problem-solving to prevent recurrence of issues.

Adoption of Six Sigma Techniques: Utilize Six Sigma methodologies to identify, analyze, and resolve manufacturing challenges, driving continuous improvement initiatives aimed at operational excellence.

Yield and Quality Improvement: Drive initiatives focused on enhancing product yield and quality, with a specific goal of reducing factory rework, Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ), and non-conforming material inventories.

**Evaluation and Qualification: **Support evaluation and qualification activities for obsolescence and dual sourcing projects, ensuring that viable alternatives are identified and implemented efficiently.

Manufacturing Process Controls: Support execution of key manufacturing process controls, including SPC, Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) to ensure adherence to quality and operational standards.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Engage actively with cross-functional teams—including project management, quality assurance, and procurement—to develop and implement robust Management Operating Systems (MOS) that improve workflow efficiency and promote seamless operations.

Coaching and Mentorship: Provide coaching and mentorship to junior engineers and team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the engineering team.
Key Experience & Capabilities:
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical & Electronics, Telecommunication, or Computer Engineering.
-
2-5 years of engineering experience in product engineering, product development, or debug engineering.
-
Candidate MUST be able to interpret electronics schematics and possess strong troubleshooting skills using various measurement equipment.
-
Understanding of geometric tolerance, standard drafting practices, BOM, engineering drawings, tool drawings, work instructions, and other technical documents associated with manufacturing hardware (such as hardware/software documents and component data sheets).
-
Effective communication skills, including oral, written, and presentation abilities.
-
Demonstrated ability to employ sound problem-solving principles and Six Sigma methodologies to effectively address product failures, including yield issues and customer returns. Proven expertise in leading comprehensive root cause analyses and implementing both corrective and preventive actions to enhance product quality and reliability.

Project management skills with a proven ability to effectively lead teams and deliver results.

Ability and proactiveness to identify continuous improvement projects, innovative ideas, and strategies to enhance product yield, customer satisfaction, cycle time, and manufacturability.

Good statistical skills, including proficiency in Minitab and JMP, will be an added advantage.
