**Job PurposeThis position will report to the Hoffman Estates, IL office but will cover the territory in

Kentucky. Therefore, we are seeking candidates who are willing to relocate to that territory.

The Parts & Service Field Operations group provides dealer consulting and support to the Honda/Acura dealer network. The District Parts & Service Manager (DPSM) is the liaison between American Honda Motor Company, Inc., (AHM) and Honda/Acura dealerships. The DPSM is the dealer’s point of contact for all parts and service-related activities. The DPSM works to identify specific gaps between AHM objectives and actual Dealer performance in the areas of: Overall Customer Satisfaction, Reduction of Oil Change Time through implementation of Express/Accelerated Service initiatives, Respect for the Customers Time, Honda/Acura Genuine Parts and Accessory sales, Customer Pay Repair Order growth, as well as dealership advisor and technician training completion. The DPSM supports development, implementation, and follow-up of action plans to address gap areas for the key objectives. This support includes but is not limited to: Participation in Honda/Acura programs, policies, and procedures, which develop and promote well-managed, profitable parts and service departments, and lifetime owner loyalty. The DPSM is expected to support DPSM mentoring, Pilot Program(s) as assigned and any other assigned areas of responsibility tasks or projects. This position is responsible for an average of 10-11 Honda/Acura Dealers.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Automotive Technology, or equivalent
    work-related experience
  • Minimum Experience
  • Minimum 3-5 years auto parts and service wholesale and/or retail experience
  • Automotive service wholesale and/or retail experience strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of OEM automotive warranty policies and procedures preferred

  • Deliver high-quality oil change service time for Honda and Acura dealers, ensuring service time is less than 60 and 65 minutes respectively.
  • Play a key role in increasing the percentage of dealers achieving oil change service time less than 60 minutes for Honda and less than 65 minutes for Acura.
  • Lead efforts to support development, implementation, and follow-up of action plans to address gap areas for key objectives.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to participate in Honda/Acura programmes, policies, and procedures that promote profitable parts and service departments.
  • Support the DPSM mentoring, Pilot Program(s), and any other assigned areas of responsibility tasks or projects. Skills
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of auto parts and service wholesale and/or retail experience is required.
