The Contracting & Sourcing Specialist will support the Procurement Manager in executing sourcing strategies and managing contracts within a hybrid procurement framework. This role focuses on delivering cost savings, ensuring compliance, and optimizing supplier relationships through effective sourcing and contracting practices.
The Specialist will act as a subject matter expert for assigned categories, lead sourcing events, and manage the full contract lifecycle, while collaborating with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead end-to-end sourcing events (RFx, renewals, negotiations) for assigned categories, ensuring value, quality, and speed.

Negotiate commercial and legal terms (pricing, SLAs, liabilities, etc.) in partnership with Legal to mitigate risk.

Draft, review, and manage contracts (MSAs, SOWs, renewals, amendments) in compliance with corporate policies.

Maintain contract lifecycle integrity in systems (e.g., Ariba/SAP), including key terms, obligations, and renewal tracking.

Conduct market and supplier analysis (TCO, benchmarks, risk signals) to inform sourcing strategies and negotiations.

Collaborate with stakeholders to align sourcing plans with business needs and ensure policy compliance.

Monitor supplier performance through scorecards and corrective actions to meet KPIs and service levels.

Ensure regulatory and policy compliance, including procurement controls and audit readiness.

Support third-party risk assessments (financial, cyber/privacy, ESG) and escalate material risks as needed.

Track and report value delivery, including savings, compliance rates, and sourcing KPIs for management visibility.
QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or related field.

5+ years in procurement, strategic sourcing, or contract management.

Proven experience in drafting and negotiating contracts (MSAs, SOWs, renewals).

Familiarity with sourcing processes and tools.

Proficiency in procurement systems (SAP/Ariba preferred).

Strong Artificial Intelligence, MS Excel and PowerPoint skills for analysis and reporting.

Advanced negotiation and analytical skills.

Strong understanding of contract law, risk management, and compliance requirements.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under tight timelines.

CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) or equivalent.
HIRING PRACTICES
The salary range for this position is $83,139–$103,924 CAD annually. Individual salaries within this range are determined by a variety of job-related factors, including education, experience, knowledge, and skill set.
This is an on-site with occasional work-from-home position that requires employees to work on-site four days per week with the opportunity to work-from-home one day per week (with a dedicated workspace at the assigned company office).
