The Contracting & Sourcing Specialist will support the Procurement Manager in executing sourcing strategies and managing contracts within a hybrid procurement framework. This role focuses on delivering cost savings, ensuring compliance, and optimizing supplier relationships through effective sourcing and contracting practices.

The Specialist will act as a subject matter expert for assigned categories, lead sourcing events, and manage the full contract lifecycle, while collaborating with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead end-to-end sourcing events (RFx, renewals, negotiations) for assigned categories, ensuring value, quality, and speed.

  • Negotiate commercial and legal terms (pricing, SLAs, liabilities, etc.) in partnership with Legal to mitigate risk.

  • Draft, review, and manage contracts (MSAs, SOWs, renewals, amendments) in compliance with corporate policies.

  • Maintain contract lifecycle integrity in systems (e.g., Ariba/SAP), including key terms, obligations, and renewal tracking.

  • Conduct market and supplier analysis (TCO, benchmarks, risk signals) to inform sourcing strategies and negotiations.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align sourcing plans with business needs and ensure policy compliance.

  • Monitor supplier performance through scorecards and corrective actions to meet KPIs and service levels.

  • Ensure regulatory and policy compliance, including procurement controls and audit readiness.

  • Support third-party risk assessments (financial, cyber/privacy, ESG) and escalate material risks as needed.

  • Track and report value delivery, including savings, compliance rates, and sourcing KPIs for management visibility.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or related field.

  • 5+ years in procurement, strategic sourcing, or contract management.

  • Proven experience in drafting and negotiating contracts (MSAs, SOWs, renewals).

  • Familiarity with sourcing processes and tools.

  • Proficiency in procurement systems (SAP/Ariba preferred).

  • Strong Artificial Intelligence, MS Excel and PowerPoint skills for analysis and reporting.

  • Advanced negotiation and analytical skills.

  • Strong understanding of contract law, risk management, and compliance requirements.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under tight timelines.

  • CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) or equivalent.

HIRING PRACTICES

The salary range for this position is $83,139–$103,924 CAD annually. Individual salaries within this range are determined by a variety of job-related factors, including education, experience, knowledge, and skill set.

This is an on-site with occasional work-from-home position that requires employees to work on-site four days per week with the opportunity to work-from-home one day per week (with a dedicated workspace at the assigned company office).
