Job Description:
The Cluster Executive Housekeeper is responsible for overseeing the housekeeping and laundry operations at Hilton Chania Old Town Resort & SPA & Chania Flair Boutique Hotel Tapestry Collection by Hilton, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest satisfaction. This role leads the housekeeping team in maintaining guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces while optimizing efficiency and cost control. The Executive Housekeeper collaborates with hotel leadership to implement quality assurance programs, ensure compliance with hygiene regulations, and enhance the overall guest experience. The position requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and expertise in housekeeping management.
- Oversee all housekeeping operations, including guest rooms, public areas, and laundry services.
- Ensure high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation in compliance with brand standards and local regulations.
- Monitor housekeeping inventory, linen usage, and supply costs to optimize efficiency and minimize waste.
- Lead, train, and motivate housekeeping staff to deliver exceptional service and maintain productivity.
- Develop and implement cleaning procedures, schedules, and inspection checklists to uphold quality standards.
- Work closely with the maintenance team to report and resolve any room or facility issues.
- Manage housekeeping budgets, staffing, and resource allocation to meet operational needs.
- Oversee laundry operations, ensuring proper handling, cleaning, and storage of linens and uniforms.
- Implement sustainability initiatives to reduce environmental impact and operational costs.
- Handle guest requests, complaints, and service recovery to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations, including fire safety protocols.
- Collaborate with other hotel departments to maintain seamless operations and service excellence.
This role requires a hands-on and detail-oriented leader who can ensure a pristine and comfortable environment while optimizing housekeeping operations at Hotelleading.
Work Experience
Work Experience:
- Experience: Minimum 5+ years in housekeeping operations.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience overseeing large housekeeping teams.
- Excellent knowledge of housekeeping procedures, cleaning techniques, and hygiene standards.
- Ability to manage budgets, control costs, and optimise operational efficiency.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Experience with housekeeping management software and inventory control systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with staff and other departments.
- Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and maintain high-quality standards in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required.
