Job Requirements

  • Strong troubleshooting and hands-on repair skills
  • Working knowledge of general maintenance, including basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and painting
  • Ability to respond to guest service requests promptly and professionally
  • Attention to detail and commitment to safety and preventative maintenance
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with the Front Desk and Chief Engineer
  • Ability to remain calm and professional while resolving guest issues
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Technical training or coursework in general maintenance, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or related fields preferred

Work Experience

  • Minimum of 1 year of hands-on maintenance or repair experience in a hotel, commercial building, or similar environment
  • Experience performing routine upkeep of hotel facilities, pool areas, and public spaces
  • Monitoring daily equipment operations and utility meter readings
  • Programming and maintaining hotel systems, including phone equipment
  • Managing small inventories of tools, parts, and maintenance supplies
  • Documenting completed repairs and guest service requests
  • Maintaining Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) files
  • Learning and following emergency procedures
  • Supporting preventative maintenance programs and recordkeeping

Additional Details Pay Rate: $21- $23 hour (depending on experience)
