HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
You will be the architect of a high-performing, passionate team that delivers True Waldorf Astoria Service - from the moment a guest books their stay to the moment they depart. You will partner closely with the General Manager and Executive Team to shape a culture of excellence, innovation, and warmth.
Your role is important and below are some of the fundamental job duties that make your work unique.
People Strategy & Organizational Alignment:
- Lead the development and execution of the hotel’s HR strategy in alignment with Hilton’s global vision and the property’s annual business plan.
- Continuously adapt human capital strategies to meet evolving business needs, ensuring HR operations support long-term growth and operational excellence.
Culture & Engagement:
- Champion employee engagement and a culture that blends Hilton’s values with the warmth of Maldivian hospitality, fostering a workplace where team members live a THRIVE lifestyle.
- Cultivate a positive, inclusive environment through open communication and initiatives that promote well-being and belonging.
Talent Development & Succession Planning:
- Lead recruitment initiatives that attract top-tier talent.
- Guide department heads in leadership development, succession planning, and high-potential talent cultivation.
- Drive career development programs, performance management, and recognition programs to retain top talent and build internal capabilities.
Performance & Operational Excellence:
- Implement performance management systems that foster accountability, drive innovation, and promote continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with operations to optimize workforce efficiency, manage labor costs, and ensure service quality.
- Support financial objectives through effective budget planning, cost control, and resource allocation.
Employee Relations & Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to and compliance with Hilton brand standards, hotel policies, and local labor laws, including hygiene, safety, and security standards.
- Represent the hotel in union negotiations and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including the hotel owner and regional HR teams.
- Maintain high standards in team member facilities, including dormitories and dining areas, promoting a safe and respectful living and working environment.
HR Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead and mentor the HR team, ensuring professionalism, care, and consistency in service to internal guests.
- Drive continuous improvement in HR service delivery and team member experience through coaching, training, and operational oversight.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

Maldivian National, required by the Maldives Employment Act.

A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related major.

An experienced HR professional with at least 10 years of management experience and familiar with hotel operations in the luxury sector.
