As a Senior Manager, DevOps Engineer at Hilton, you will play a pivotal role in enabling the development, deployment, and operationalization of digital services and applications across the Asia Pacific excluding Greater China & Mongolia (APACx) region. This role is central to supporting agile product teams by embedding modern DevOps principles, including Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Delivery (CD), and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). You will be responsible for building and maintaining automation pipelines, ensuring platform reliability, and integrating security and quality assurance into the development lifecycle.

You will act as a technical generalist – comfortable scripting, automating, and scaling systems – while also serving as a strategic partner to engineering, security, and operations teams. Your work will directly impact Hilton’s ability to deliver secure, scalable, and resilient digital experiences to guests and team members across Asia Pacific. This role requires a strong foundation in cloud-native technologies, observability practices, and infrastructure security.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Your role is important, and below are some of the fundamental job duties that make your work unique.

  • Design, architect, and implement cloud-native infrastructure and automation solutions using platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Ali Cloud.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Bamboo and Jenkins to support rapid and reliable software delivery.
  • Lead initiatives to define and implement DevOps reference architectures, cost estimates, and operational models.
  • Collaborate with Hilton’s global engineering teams to deploy and operate APACx digital services and applications.
  • Integrate security and compliance tooling into the DevOps toolchain to support secure-by-design principles.
  • Provide technical leadership across a range of technologies including APIs, microservices, SaaS platforms, and containerized workloads.
  • Enable smooth transitions from development to production environments through automation, monitoring, and incident response readiness.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize existing systems for performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Document infrastructure, processes, and best practices to support knowledge sharing and operational excellence.

WHY YOU’LL BE A GREAT FIT

You have these minimum qualifications:

  • 10 years of experience in technology, with a focus on DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering.
  • Deep experience with CI/CD tools (Bamboo preferred, Jenkins acceptable).
  • Proven ability to design and implement automation solutions that support CD pipelines.
  • Experience with cloud platforms including AWS, AWS China, and Ali Cloud; Azure is a plus.
  • Strong background in database administration (SQL, NoSQL, Postgres, Couchbase).
  • Experience working in Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) environments.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and Bash.
  • Hands-on experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker) and infrastructure automation (Terraform, Ansible).
  • A track record of driving automation, reducing delivery cycle times, and maintaining high availability in production environments.
  • Proficiency in spoken Mandarin to facilitate collaboration with GCM Cloud and Infrastructure teams.
  • Ability to travel when required.
  • Ability to participate in global calls in the evening and/or early morning.

It would be useful if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in technology roles, 7+ years in DevOps or SRE positions.
