The Food & Beverage Restaurant Reservations Agent is responsible for driving restaurant revenue through active reservation management, booking optimization, and digital guest acquisition. This is a commercial food and beverage role focused on maximizing covers, table yield, and brand visibility.
What will I be doing
As a Food & Beverage Restaurant Reservations Agent you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Manage all restaurant reservations across phone, email, Whats App, walk-ins, and booking platforms
- Control table allocation to maximize covers, turn times, and peak-hour revenue
- Upsell premium seating, special experiences, and high-value time slots
- Monitor no-shows, late arrivals, cancellations, and enforce reservation policies
- Maintain accurate guest profiles and booking notes
- Manage and update all internal and external booking platforms
- Ensure availability, timings, menus, photos, and descriptions are accurate
- Monitor booking trends and optimize demand
- Coordinate with operations to avoid overbooking or underutilization
- Convert all inquiries into confirmed reservations
- Follow up on tentative bookings, groups, and event leads
- Handle group reservations and pre-set menus
- Promote offers, themed nights, and seasonal campaigns
- Manage daily social media messages and comments
- Convert social media inquiries into bookings
- Post approved promotional content
- Support campaigns, launches, and special events
- Track reservations, covers, and no-show rates
- Report booking performance insights
- Support management with demand optimization
- Reservation conversion rate

What are we looking for
A Food & Beverage Restaurant Reservations Agent serving Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts is always working on behalf of our guests and in close collaboration with Food & Beverage, Marketing, and Operations teams. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviors, skills, and values that follow:
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience in restaurant reservations, food & beverage, or guest services within a luxury hotel or high-end dining environment
- Proven ability to manage high-volume reservations while optimizing covers, table allocation, and peak dining periods
- Previous experience in hospitality, customer service, or as a reservation or sales agent preferred.
- Minimum 2–4 years of hospitality experience, preferably in luxury hotels, fine dining restaurants, or high-end food & beverage environments
- Proven ability to manage high-volume reservations in a fast-paced setting while maintaining accuracy and composure
- Friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor with a natural passion for guest interaction
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, delivered with confidence and luxury service etiquette
- Strong sales mindset with the ability to convert inquiries into confirmed reservations and maximize dining revenue
- Solid understanding of reservation yield management, table allocation, and demand optimization
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, ensuring precise guest profiles, booking notes, and reservation controls
- Ability to multitask and perform effectively under pressure during peak service periods
- Experience managing reservations across multiple platforms, including phone, email, Whats App, social media, and online booking systems
- Proficient computer skills for managing reservations and guest lists; experience with Seven Rooms is a distinct advantage
- Ability to analyze booking trends and support management with performance insights
- Experience coordinating group reservations, pre-set menus, and special dining events
- Knowledge of food and beverage operations or similar service environments is considered an advantage
- Strong collaboration skills to ensure alignment with restaurant operations and avoid overbooking or underutilization
- Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and public holidays in line with operational requirements
- High standards of professionalism, discretion, and commitment to luxury service excellence
