Job Requirements

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sous Chef with strong experience in Levantine cuisine to support the Executive Chef in daily kitchen operations. The ideal candidate should have in-depth knowledge of traditional Levantine dishes, ingredients, and cooking techniques, while ensuring high standards of food quality, hygiene, and consistency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Executive Chef in managing daily kitchen operations
  • Prepare and oversee authentic Levantine dishes, including hot and cold mezze, grills, and traditional specialties
  • Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control
  • Supervise kitchen team and provide training when required
  • Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness
  • Assist with menu planning, costing, and inventory control
  • Minimize food waste and ensure efficient kitchen operations
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations

Work Experience

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie specializing in Levantine cuisine
  • Strong knowledge of Levantine ingredients, spices, and cooking methods
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Good leadership and communication skills
  • Culinary diploma or relevant certification preferred
  • Knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards
