The Kitchen Coordinator is responsible for the proper running of the kitchen's administrative operations.
What will I be doing: Responsibilities and duties for this position shall include, but not be limited to the following areas and activities at management discretion. Direction may be given for tasks outside the scope of work described.
- Assist the Executive Chef in daily administrative tasks in the kitchen;
- Responsible for the orders of frozen foods, fresh vegetables and dry foods;
- Ensure that a Purchase Order is issued and approved for each item ordered;
- Assist in the planning and development of menus and recipes, ensure the correct preparation and presentation of a consistent level for all food items prepared through production and demonstration, utilize creative menu planning to minimizing waste.
- Checks different kitchen sections and prepares daily absences , tardiness and overtime reports against the record of the time keeper and duty schedules
- Other duties as assigned by the Executive Chef.
- Develop a positive working relationship with all employees to facilitate a team-oriented atmosphere.
- Ensure that the company’s standards are maintained in all areas.
- Regularly communicate with the Executive Chef regarding culinary matters.
- Keep all HACCP files and follow-up if HACCP procedures are being followed
- Type all reports , memos , letters, forms, correspondence, and others as requested by the Executive chef
