We are seeking an energetic individual who is career driven, with a positive approach to hospitality.

In this role, you will report directly to the Stewarding Manager and oversee a team consisting of more than 55 union stewards.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of stewarding management experience within a hotel environment, preferably of comparable size. Experience leading a unionized stewarding team is strongly preferred.

As the ideal candidate, you will:

  • Have a solidified knowledge of food and beverage operations

  • Have previous experience in a high-volume, professional atmosphere

  • Have a detail-oriented approach to your work

  • Have previous experience working in a time-sensitive atmosphere

What will I be doing?

As a Steward Supervisor, you would be responsible for supervising utility stewards, dishwashers and temporary personnel to transport and clean cooking utensils and service ware in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Supervise, support and monitor utility stewards, dishwashers and temporary personnel to transport and clean cooking utensils and service ware for restaurant service
  • Supervise cleaning of work area and physical surroundings
  • Maintain and deliver proper inventory for food and beverage departments
  • Ensure all food and equipment are delivered on time to all functions as specified
  • Schedule, assign daily work, inform and train team members
  • Monitor, observe and assist in evaluating team member performance
