About the role
The Groups Meetings & Events Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales activity in order to maximise rooms, groups, conference and events revenue through pro-active selling and conversion of customer enquiries into confirmed sales.
What will I be doing?
The management of the team on a daily basis
Up skilling of Conferencing & Events team:
Manage the relationship and business processes between C&E Sales & C&E Operations
Manage departmental productivity
Recruitment, training and development of the team
Regularly review and manage individual and team performance against objectives and provide feedback
Provide relevant coaching to the team
Developing and implementing individual team members and both department training plans to meet business needs
What are we looking for?
To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role
Experience of managing a team
Ability to motivate a team
Ability to develop team
Able to collect and analyse relevant information and provide solutions.
Previous Conferencing & Events Sales experience:
Demonstrated attention to detail, while multi-tasking and delivering work on time
Ability to work productively despite multiple interruptions
