The Executive Housekeeper is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the housekeeping department, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and aesthetic upkeep throughout the hotel. This role involves strategic planning, staff management, and maintaining a seamless operation to enhance guest satisfaction, cultivating a culture of excellence, inspiring the team to strive for perfection and take pride in their work. The role is dedicated to drive exceptional results, exceeding guest expectations and making a lasting impression.

What will I be doing?

As the Executive Housekeeper, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Department Leadership

Manage and oversee the daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring seamless workflow and adherence to quality standards.

Provide leadership and guidance to the housekeeping team, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.

  • Guest Satisfaction

Ensure guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces meet or exceed cleanliness and presentation expectations.

Respond promptly to guest inquiries or complaints, implementing solutions to enhance satisfaction.

  • Team Management & Development

Recruit, train, and mentor housekeeping team member, ensuring they are equipped with the skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.

Conduct regular performance evaluations, providing constructive feedback and identifying opportunities for professional growth.

  • Inventory & Supplies Management

Monitor and maintain inventory levels of cleaning supplies, linens, and amenities, ensuring timely replenishment.

Implement cost-effective practices while maintaining quality and service standards.

  • Compliance & Safety

Ensure all housekeeping operations comply with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.

Conduct regular safety training sessions and inspections to minimize risks.

  • Collaboration & Communication

Work closely with other departments, such as Front Office and Engineering, to coordinate efforts and address operational needs.

Communicate effectively with senior management, providing updates on department performance and projects.

  • Process Improvement & Efficiency

Identify opportunities to enhance housekeeping processes and implement innovative solutions.

Develop and maintain cleaning schedules to ensure consistency and efficiency across all areas.

  • Budget & Cost Control

Assist in preparing and managing the housekeeping department budget, tracking expenses, and identifying cost-saving measures.

Analyze operational data to optimize resources and improve productivity.

What are we looking for?

An Executive Housekeeper serving Hilton Brands is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:

  • Proven expertise in housekeeping management, with extensive experience in supervisory or managerial roles within the luxury hospitality industry, ensuring impeccable standards and exceptional guest satisfaction

  • Pre-opening experience is an added advantage.

  • In-depth knowledge of housekeeping operations, inventory control, and cleaning techniques.

  • Familiarity with housekeeping management systems is an advantage.

  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to housekeeping operations.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
