Waldorf Astoria is looking for an Assistant Restaurant Manager to join this gorgeous Atlanta property!
Located in one of Atlanta's most prestigious neighborhoods, this 42-story tower has over 200 rooms (127 guest rooms plus residences), over 10,000 square feet of meeting space, and 3 food and beverage outlets. This includes the 3-meal restaurant, bar, and in-room dining.
In this role, you will report directly to the Restaurant Manager.
The ideal candidate for this position will possess flexible availability including evenings and weekends. They will also have at least three years of prior experience in Food and Beverage with at least one year of supervisory experience. The team is ideally seeking a motivated individual who possess the experience to lead and coach their team members. Experience with Forbes standards of service or in fine dining will elevate any applicable resume.
What will I be doing?
As an Assistant Restaurant Manager, you would be responsible for assisting in the daily management of activities and services of Brassica (Restaurant & Bar) and In-Room Dining in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Assist in the management of Restaurant & Bar and In-Room Dining operations to include, but not limited to, guest service, food and beverage quality, inventory management, outlet reservations and occupancy, systems management, report generation, department management and meeting participation and facilitation.
- Ensure consistency in food quality and presentation and monitor cost and portion controls.
- Assist in monitoring and developing team member performance to include, but not limited to, providing supervision and professional development, scheduling, conducting counseling and evaluations and delivering recognition and reward.
- Meet and greet guests and respond to guest inquiries, requests and issues in a timely, friendly and efficient manner and resolve guest concerns.
- Monitor and assess service and satisfaction trends, evaluate and address issues and make improvements accordingly.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards.
- Assist in recruiting, interviewing and training team members.
