Jobs
The Good Housekeeping Institute has been the beating heart of the Good Housekeeping brand for over 100 years. In our state-of-the-art testing facility in West London, we put thousands of products to the test every year, rigorously reviewing them against their claims, so our readers know they can trust our recommendations.
The Role…
• Want to know how different products in the home perform? You’ll be working closely with your colleagues to test Homes products. You’ll need to familiarise yourself with the testing protocols and process of a product test. Could be a vacuum, could be a blender, could be a detergent…
• You will eventually work independently when leading a testing project, working through all the phases of product testing a whole category.
• You may be involved in internal meetings with key stakeholders from the editorial, digital, and commercial teams, which may, at times, involve sharing feedback on testing results and learnings.
• Based at our test facility in Feltham 4 days a week (min)
Main Duties…
• To test products as part of the GHI Homes Testing team, as per the agreed content calendar for the editorial team and the requirements of the Accreditation team. The results will need to be analysed and added to our product database.
• To sustain high testing standards and levels of consistency.
• To check editorial proofs and artwork for information, process, and stockists.
• Able to demonstrate practical skills and demonstrate keen interest in home appliance products.
• Must be computer and AI-literate.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, as there will be interaction with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong organisational and time management skills - be able to multitask and be a problem solver.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to deal with high volumes of work accurately and to meet deadlines.
• Must have a can-do attitude with the ability to work under pressure, be enthusiastic, and proactive.
• Act as an ambassador to the Good Housekeeping brand, including being well-versed in product testing and helping lead tours of the GH Institute.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, current affairs, breaking news, key conferences/issues, and general outreach.
