Boomi Senior Technical Specialist

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement EDI integrations using Gentran / IBM Sterling tools.

• Build and manage integrations using Dell Boomi (Atom Sphere platform).

• Develop and maintain EDI maps for transactions like:

850 (PO), 810 (Invoice), 856 (ASN), 855, 997

• Handle trading partner onboarding and configuration (ISA/GS setup).

• Manage inbound/outbound EDI flows including validation, transformation, and error handling.

• Work with communication protocols such as AS2, SFTP, FTP, VAN.

• Collaborate with internal teams (ERP, SCM, Finance) for integration requirements.

• Develop APIs and integrations between EDI systems and enterprise applications (SAP, Oracle, etc.).

• Troubleshoot EDI failures and ensure SLA adherence.

• Provide production support and incident resolution.

• Drive migration initiatives from legacy EDI (Gentran) to modern platforms like Boomi.

• Maintain technical documentation and integration architecture diagrams.

EDI Skills

• Strong experience in Gentran / IBM Sterling / Legacy EDI systems

• Expertise in ANSI X12 / EDIFACT standards

• Hands-on experience in EDI mapping, translation, and validation

• Knowledge of functional acknowledgments (997/999)

Boomi Skills

• Extensive experience in Dell Boomi Atom Sphere platform

• Process design, connectors, APIs, and integration workflows

• Strong experience with:

Boomi process building & deployment

• Boomi EDI module (preferred)

• API Management & Integration

Integration & Technical Skills

• Experience in REST/SOAP APIs, XML, JSON

• Strong understanding of integration patterns and middleware architecture

• Experience with ERP systems like SAP / Oracle

• Familiarity with cloud integrations and i PaaS solutions

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead the design, development, and implementation of boomi integrations to meet business requirements.

2. Collaborate with cross functional teams to analyze, design, and implement end-to-end integration solutions.

3. Provide technical expertise and guidance on boomi best practices and design patterns.

4. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to boomi integrations to ensure system functionality.

5. Conduct training sessions and knowledge sharing activities related to boomi for team members.

6. Stay updated on the latest boomi platform features and enhancements to optimize integration processes.

Skill Requirements

1. In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with boomi platform, including boomi atomsphere, boomi flow, and boomi api management.

2. Proficiency in designing, developing, and deploying boomi integrations using connectors, apis, and custom scripting.

3. Strong understanding of rest/soap web services, json, xml, and other related technologies.

4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast paced environment.

5. Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with stakeholders at various levels.

Other Requirements

1.Boomi Integration Developer Certification is preferred.
