About the role
Job Summary
The role is responsible for the validation of basic business requirements and design approaches, basic and advanced system configuration on IT systems and environments and providing expertise to IT and the business units in a limited subject matter field. This role is able to work independently with moderate supervision and participate as a technology resource in larger projects.
Job Responsibilities : Manage the build and operational activities of Linux machines in data center. Troubleshoot issue with build and collaborate different team to fix the issue. Linux Administration

- Creating New file system in Linux.
- Proper understating of Linux Booting.
- Linux installation knowledge RPM management knowledge Configuration
- Kernel configuration
- User configuration
- Yum configuration and usage
- Understanding of Satellite installation Troubleshooting
- Basic OS trouble shooting for booting issues and other OS issues. Installation
- Install OS SW, with respect to appropriate version, release and patch level.
- Upgradation/Migration Knowledge of upgrading OS ITIL - Strong understanding of Incident/Change/problem management. Knowledge in Kernel configuration, User configuration, Yum configuration and usage, OS Patching and Rollback exposure. Experience in automation with Ansible, Satellite server and basics in shell scripting Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware Good to have knowledge in openshift container, autosys , Prometheus, splunk, etc
Skill Requirement : Detailed understanding of operating system concepts Detailed understanding of distributed computing environment concepts Experience installing and configuring Linux workstations and servers, especially Some major Linux distributions, Redhat, Suse, CentOS Detailed understanding of some key Linux related technology and tools, NFS, NIS, File Systems (EXT4, XFS), init.d, systemd, X-Window systems, RPM, yum, iptables Experience in automation tools like Ansible, AWX, & Ansible Tower User support experience, including onsite, remote support
Other Requirement : Excellent English skills, both written and verbal, and understanding multi-country, region culture environment

Key Responsibilities

To ensure on-time resolution & quality compliance of escalated tickets/incident as per the agreed SLA

To perform value addition activities (such as mentoring administrators/team members, preparing SOPs, maintaining effective documentation simultaneously and Knowledge sharing.) In addition act as a liaison to the business segment, facilitating effective communication and presentation to key business stakeholders as & when required.

To validate Change Order Implementation Plan & Human Error Compliance and participate in Capacity planning

To ensure positive customer feedback & satisfaction through active participation in customer meetings to understand any issues faced

To validate analyses (eg. Root Cause Analysis ,Trend Analysis) and reports to facilitate performance in tasks to be presented to key business stakeholders
