We are seeking an Academic Design and Delivery Consultant, a thought leader and innovative “edutainer” who brings energy, expertise, and vision to the design and delivery of best-in-class learning solutions. This role is critical in shaping the future of education and driving profitable growth across Employee Benefits.
What You’ll Do:
- Consult & Advise: Partner with business leaders to assess needs, recommend solutions, and ensure learning strategies align with organizational goals.
- Design & Develop: Create engaging, innovative curricula for New Hire, Professional Mastery, and Leadership programs using adult learning principles.
- Deliver & Inspire: Facilitate impactful learning experiences—both virtual and in-person—that captivate and empower our Sales and Relationship Management teams.
- Collaborate & Lead: Work closely with subject matter experts and internal partners to ensure content accuracy and relevance.
- Manage & Execute: Oversee projects from concept to completion, ensuring timely delivery and measurable results.
What we’re Looking For:
- Experience: 5+ years in Employee Benefits preferred. Strong background in design and delivery of education a plus.
- Expertise: Proven ability to design and deliver diverse learning methodologies, leveraging tools like Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite, Camtasia, Vyond, and Share Point.
- Creativity: Strong graphic design skills with an eye for modern, engaging content within brand guidelines.
- Business Acumen: Deep understanding of sales practices, negotiation, and territory management.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written skills with executive presence and consultative influence.
- Agility: Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Work Arrangements:
- Travel: Occasional travel required to support in-person program delivery, up to 50% by exception
- This role can have a Hybrid or Remote work arrangement. Candidates who live near one of our locations Hartford, CT; San Antonio, TX; Lake Mary, FL; Phoenix, AZ; or Naperville, IL will have the expectation of working in an office 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday).
- Remote: For candidates outside these locations, with occasional travel as needed.

Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
$99,200 - $148,800
