Job Duties

• Under strict supervision, provides on-site supervision of the Measurement-While Drilling (MWD)/Logging-While Drilling (LWD) and Directional Drilling (DD) processes, including tool preparations, data acquisition, and delivery of the services to the customer. This is the entry level position for the Field Service Specialist job family.

• Responsibilities are to learn the job role for the product service lines and the processes, tools, software, and equipment used in service delivery, including but not limited to: maintaining equipment inventory, supervising movement of equipment to and from well site, checking equipment and tools, advising on repair requirements, and maintaining the computer drilling database for on-going jobs.

• Provides technical and operational consulting to external customers.

• Performs assignments requiring knowledge and application of basic engineering and MWD/DD principles.

• Skill acquired through completion of the basic M/LWD and DD training programs.

• Requires completion of a high school diploma or equivalent.

• An undergraduate degree in a STEM discipline is preferred.

• Must possess or be able to obtain relevant on and offshore safety certificates.
