Goldman Sachs Wealth Management is in search of a Vice President to work closely with private wealth advisors to provide insurance brokerage services and insurance advice to our clients.

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL
- Lead the team responsible for educating and supporting regional private wealth advisors in the planning, design and implementation of sophisticated wealth management solutions involving life insurance products and solutions.
- Provide expert advice to private wealth advisor teams and clients on insurance solutions as part of client’s wealth management
- Deep knowledge of diverse structures for wealth management and planning including insurance, trusts and other alternative or complementary structures
- Work directly with private wealth advisor teams with existing and new clients.
- Conduct client presentations regarding insurance as part of wealth management and planning
- Manage relationship with partnering insurance carriers
- Partner with product analysis team members to enhance product and strategy portfolio based on changes in the insurance and financial market and/or applicable tax law.
- Be responsible for implementing internal control procedures to ensure compliance with Hong Kong insurance reporting and regulations and to have a thorough understanding of insurance regulatory requirements
- Ensure ongoing compliance with insurance regulations including reporting, client complaints, recordkeeping
- Manage and oversee our insurance brokerage activities for direct life insurance business
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills and partner with senior management on key initiatives and the growth and development of the team on our insurance capabilities.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- An existing individual licence as Technical Representative (Broker) for long term insurance business; existing or previous licence as RO preferred
- Bachelor’s degree or higher is required
- Advanced degree or designation preferred
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the life insurance industry, including at least 2 years of management experience. Hong Kong experience is preferred
- Satisfy the Insurance Authority’s “fit and proper” requirements
- In-depth understanding of insurance regulations and compliance requirements
- Hong Kong permanent resident or currently hold an appropriate immigration visa or permit
- Fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin preferred
