Alternatives Capital Formation (ACF) manages capital raising and strategy for alternatives investments including private equity, private credit, real estate, infrastructure, growth equity, sustainability, secondaries, GP stakes, and hedge funds / liquid alternative strategies. Within ACF, team members work within distinct product verticals and partner with investment teams, product development teams and client teams across distribution channels to develop and deliver alternative investment solutions to clients including closed-end funds, evergreen funds and customized solutions.

ACF Commercial Strategy is responsible for client and fundraising strategy, product prioritization, and campaign design across the alternatives investment platform. The team partners with global client leadership and ACF product leads to drive fundraising efforts across strategies, improve client targeting and tracking, and engage with client advisors and clients on our platform-wide offerings.

The Commercial Strategy Executive Director will be instrumental in driving the execution of commercial initiatives, client engagement, and cross-team collaboration in Asia Pacific, with a high degree of coordination across global teams. The candidate will also be responsible for working with marketing and events teams to coordinate client events and conferences within the region as well as key sponsorship and branding initiatives across the Goldman Sachs Alternatives business.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead alternatives fundraising campaign management in Asia Pacific working alongside senior product and client leads in the region
  • Support and participate in fund targeting exercises and regular pipeline review meetings, track and analyze target lists and fundraising pipelines leveraging Salesforce and Dealcloud
  • Guide and contribute to the creation and delivery of alternatives fund launch sales trainings and fund launch toolkits
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of global platform materials including a multi-year fundraising strategy calendar, platform presentations, fund one pagers, other key collateral
  • Work closely with the Americas and EMEA commercial strategy teams to ensure close coordination and execution across regions
  • Partner with Marketing to ensure client events and conferences are commercially impactful
  • Conduct competitive analyses and keep pulse on industry and LP and product trends

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 7 years of prior work experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-starter, with ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment and across group functions
  • Team player, with excellent interpersonal skills and good judgment
  • Flexibility to handle multiple tasks and work well under pressure
  • Strong quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with proven experience of delivering high quality work product
  • Ability to generate new ideas and consider ways to improve existing processes to create efficiencies and support growth
  • Advanced facility with Excel, Power

Point and Copilot:

Investor relations, product management or other private markets background with knowledge of institutional client landscape in APAC
