Legal Division
The Legal Division's mission is to advance and protect the interests of the firm by providing the highest quality legal advice. We are looking for talented and enthusiastic professionals to join our engineering team and help build out a broad set of user-facing and data processing platforms.
Legal Engineering is looking to fill a Product Manager role at the Vice President level.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Legal Engineering team provides business-enabling solutions aligned to legal functions through all stages of product lifecycle, including research, design, scoping, delivery, promotion and post-launch monitoring, tailoring solutions to meet the evolving needs of our users.
As a product/project manager of our team, you will partner within the division and globally across multiple divisions and engineering teams to create end-to-end solutions. You will be able to develop roadmaps, collaborate with various teams, innovate and incubate new ideas, identify risks, monitor project progress, analyze and identify areas for improvement, communicate and manage stakeholders across the organization. You will have an opportunity to work on a broad range of projects and help design our products and drive the delivery of Legal Engineering projects with a focus on building AI solutions. Your key responsibilities would include:
- Lead and manage multiple complex projects related to AI adoption, engineering process improvement, and technology modernization within Legal Engineering.
- Working with project sponsors and key stakeholders to establish a clear product strategy and road map in line with overall product vision and broader Legal Engineering objectives
- Conducting user research: current state assessments, job shadowing, requirements gathering,
- Creating strategy documents and memos and maintaining detailed documentation
- Rationalizing user requirements across a broad cross section of Legal and translating those requirements to “user stories” for delivery by the development teams
- Managing sprint execution and product launches
- Communicating with key stakeholders on the progress of the product
- Coordinating the flow and prioritization of requests from all stakeholders and product backlog
- Signing off on all functional delivery prior to production release
- Understanding and managing impact across integrated applications
- Maintaining connectivity with the user community: monitoring usage of the product post-launch and validating product performance
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience managing / launching technical products
- Minimum 7 years of product management experience, including experience driving product vision, design, and launch strategy
- Knowledge of functional areas such as product management, engineering, user experience, user research; working knowledge of financial markets and products
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority
- Must work well in a global team, multi-tasking environment and under pressure
- Adaptability and being comfortable with uncertainty
- The ability (and tenacity) to clearly express ideas and arguments in meetings and on paper (i.e., great written and verbal communications skills)
- Knowledge of the financial industry and Legal functions would be welcome but are not expectations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of AI and machine learning ecosystems, including proficiency in modern RAG/Agent frameworks is a plus
- Familiarity with natural language processing (NLP)
- A proactive and innovative mindset, with a passion for staying at the forefront of AI and GenAI advancements and applying them to solve business challenges.
