Alternatives Product Strategy & Development is part of the Client Solutions Group (CSG) within Asset & Wealth Management (AWM). We are seeking a highly driven and detail-oriented Associate to join our growing team in New York. Alternatives Asset Management is a strategic growth area for our firm, representing a critical component of our long-term vision and commitment to providing innovative investment solutions for our clients. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and expanding area of AWM, developing market intelligence materials and creating financial models for new and existing products.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Support development of financial models for new and existing funds (from idea generation to look-back)
  • Produce and update market intelligence materials covering competitors data across all regions, asset classes and channels
  • Utilize new technology and processes to maintain and develop fund analyses looking between others at pricing, performance, revenue, expenses and asset availability
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders such as investment team, distribution, legal, fund management, operations, compliance, controllers and tax to develop and execute product strategy and development projects
  • Effectively articulate the conclusions of the market intelligence and data analysis conducted by the product strategy and development team
  • Document and develop team processes and procedures
  • Respond to questions internally from senior management and salespeople across all sales channels (private wealth, institutional, third-party distribution) related to the platform
  • Longer-term, support the Alternatives Product Strategy and Development team with all aspects of the ideation, design and monitoring cycle for Alternative products

Qualifications

  • College graduate with major in Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, and Physics.
  • Experience Required: 2-4 years of work experience in a fast-paced, self-driven role. Prior experience in Asset Management, Investment Banking, or Investing preferred
  • Excellent numerical skills. Prior experience in financial modelling preferred
  • Highly motivated self-starter with a strong work ethic and ability to drive processes forward
  • Strong interest in private markets
  • Excellent communication (written and oral), analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills to balance and prioritize multiple, and often simultaneous, projects
  • Able to deliver high volume of quality work within tight timeframes
  • Attention to detail—proven experience of delivering high levels of accuracy
  • Avid learner who desires to continuously grow and develop
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, Power

  • Candidate must be a team player and self-motivated, demonstrating a willingness to take on more responsibility over time
