Product Development
Goldman Sachs Asset Management delivers investment and advisory services across public and private markets for institutions and individuals worldwide.
Our Product Development team plays a critical role in designing, launching, and managing investment products that meet client needs and align with the firm’s strategic objectives. We work closely with investment teams, sales, legal, operations, controllers, and multiple other teams to ensure seamless execution and ongoing product excellence.
Responsibilities

Partner with internal stakeholders to develop and launch new investment products, including mutual funds, ETFs, and alternative vehicles.

Conduct market research and competitor analysis to form our product strategy.
-
Coordinate product lifecycle events such as term changes, closures, and enhancements, which will require strong time management and well-organized approach, to maintain control of multiple workstreams involved in the project.

Draft and review product documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal standards.

Support cross-functional initiatives and contribute to strategic product planning.

Communicate regularly with global teams, requiring strong English proficiency and cultural fluency.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
-Native level in Japanese language

2 - 6 years of experience in preferably in asset management, in particular product development, fund operations, sales, compliance, or in structuring role at an investment bank

Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Excellent project management and organisational skills.
-
Goal-oriented and organized, with strong time management abilities.
-
Ability to work collaboratively across functions and regions.
-
Experience in product development or structuring is a plus but not required.

Familiarity with Japanese fund regulations and documentation, offshore funds experience is a plus.

Strong capability to thoroughly analyze details while also maintaining an excellent overall perspective
