This Vice President will play a key role within the Asset Management (AM) Marketing team, leading product and content marketing, mainly in the Third-Party Wealth (TPW) client channel across APAC ex Japan. The TPW client channel includes wealth managers, private and retail banks, and fund platforms.
The VP will partner with investment teams to define product / asset class positioning, develop narratives, messaging strategy and execute on suite of collaterals required. They will also work across the AM Marketing team to provide inputs for product campaigns, new launches and the broader commercial objectives of the business.
The VP will also play a key role in post-event content creation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Marketing implementation: Execute strategic marketing plans to build awareness and affinity for AM's investment capabilities.
- Product and broader asset class narrative: Craft product propositions and messaging suited for intended channel / audience (mainly TPW, institutional channels where required)
- Collateral production and calendar: Develop and create marketing collateral (newsletters, presentations, premier publications, webpages etc.) in partnership with AM's design team or vendor. Map out collateral calendar to enable and maintain awareness and consideration during a designated period.
- Focus funds, launches and campaigns: Work on product positioning and messaging strategy required for the go-to-market plans around focus funds, launches and campaigns and partner with regional and global marketing colleagues to execute plans
- Post-conference content creation: Play a key role in post-event production of video highlights and takeaways to be used across digital channels
- Measurement and reporting: Collaborate with Marketing Technology team to analyze usage for digital assets and taking active steps to optimize impact
- Risk management: Maintain strict adherence to regulatory and procedural guidelines for all marketing communications including proactive management of operational risk.
- Team connectivity: Take an active role in the AM Marketing team, adopting a collaborative approach, sharing best practices, being involved in programs outside primary region as relevant, and contributing to the team's overall success.
- Partnership and collaboration: Develop and maintain strong relationships with other AM Marketing colleagues, Global Marketing partners, Corporate Communications, sales and investment heads, and key stakeholders across AM.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 10+ years in a similar role within a similar leading financial institution with an outstanding track record with measurable impacts and achievements
- Good working knowledge of investment concepts and has the ability to present investment views in a thoughtful and well-reasoned manner, synthesize information from multiple sources and develop a clear, compelling story
- Excellent written, influencing and presentation skills with keen attention-to-detail
- In-depth knowledge of the asset management industry: clients, products, regulations, competitors
- Well-developed strategic thinking with commercial awareness and business acumen
- Excellent time management, and ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
- Demonstrable track record of working effectively across matrixed, complex organizations as well as the ability to engage with partners at all levels
- Ability to work at varying speeds and under timeframe pressure, while maintaining extremely high standards
- Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS); CFA an advantage
