Short Term Macro Trading

Our core value is building strong relationships with our institutional clients, which include corporations, financial service providers, and fund managers. We help them buy and sell financial products on exchanges around the world, raise funding, and manage risk. This is a dynamic, entrepreneurial team with a passion for the markets, with individuals who thrive in fast-paced, changing environments and are energized by a bustling trading floor.

Team Overview

The short macro trading desk is the central trading hub for FX and interest rate derivatives in G10 markets. The desk manages the following products with a primary focus on front-end: FX forwards/swaps, interest rate swaps, and cross currency basis swaps. Traders on the desk have broad responsibilities such as market making, risk management, and trading strategy generation based on market/data analysis. Additionally, traders will need to interact with sales and clients, sharing ideas and market views.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Pricing and trade execution in FX/rates derivatives
  • Manage risk inventory in trading books maintained for client facilitation
  • Active generation of trade ideas and sharing market views to promote franchise
  • Coordinate with sales and structuring to provide solutions/services to clients
    Liaise with relevant internal functions to comply with all applicable internal rules and external regulations

Preferred Qualifications and Experiences

  • Up to 3 years of relevant work experience
  • Relevant Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification with an excellent academic record
  • Strong analytical and numerical competency
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Great team player
    Solid work ethic and high levels of motivation
