ABOUT OUR ROLES
Japan Fund Services (JFS) are part of the International Client Operations in Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM) funds business. JFS are responsible for a range of activities across the GSAM mutual funds domiciled in Japan as well as liaison with global teams for offshore funds invested by Japanese clients. As such the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with many local and global teams and to be involved in a wide range of funds activities.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strategic vendor management: key service providers, such as Accounting Agent, Custodians and Trustee
- Supervisory oversight of product infrastructure: working with internal and external stakeholders
- Product lifecycle event management: new product implementations, restructures and terminations
- Point of escalation for fund’s account oversight, such as daily transactions and cash management oversight, reconciliation etc.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience of a minimum of 2-3 years in the financial industry
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and able to deal with people at all levels both internally and externally
- Excellent organizational and priority management skills in a fast-paced environment
- An ability to work to tight deadlines and with activities and targets which may change at short notice
- Highly motivated individual with a proven background of delivery
- Native level Japanese language and business level English language skills
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Basic knowledge of Japanese mutual funds
- Background in Operations, Product or Fund Administration would be an advantage
