Your Impact
As an engineer in the Global Markets Trading Platform Engineering team, you will build world-class pre-trade workflow and trade execution platforms for salespeople and traders, covering various asset classes across both voice and electronic venues. You will work closely with salespeople and traders to solve real world business problems leveraging cutting edge technologies, also building resilient services that can be used across applications and be called upon to guide the decisions of business leadership.

How You Will Fulfill Your Potential
- Build pre-trade workflow and trade execution platforms for salespeople and traders, covering various asset classes across both voice and electronic venues
- Propose, design and implement software solutions to build scalable and reliable services and platforms using cutting-edge web & server-side technologies
- Define and determine new strategic solutions alongside salespeople, traders and other engineers
Skills And Experience We Are Looking For
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team leveraging cutting edge technology to transform the way we conduct business and to deliver the most complex transactions for our clients. The role will be suited to a strong technologist with a keen interest in business workflows and financial markets.
The successful candidate will need to:
- Develop an in-depth understanding of front office business, flows and systems, with a particular focus on Credit products
- Form strong partnerships with sales, trading and other engineering teams, to determine strategic direction of platforms
- Drive commercially impactful engineering projects to deliver key desk initiatives
- Strive for continuous improvement in the effectiveness and stability of the front office stack
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field
- Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong programming skills in Java or frontend technologies (React, TypeScript, etc.)
- Experience in software development, including a clear understanding of data structures, algorithms, software design and core programming concepts
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills and ability to work across teams
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment whilst maintaining strong attention to detail
- Highly motivated with a strong sense of ownership and desire for impact
- 1-4 years of industry experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous commercial experience in a business-facing, front office engineering role in the finance industry, building trading platforms
- Knowledge of financial markets with experience in products such as Bonds, CDS, indices or index options

Salary Range
The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $115000-$180000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
